COURTNEY FITZ

SCULPTURE.
STILL, IN
MOTION.

The Forces of Fragility

My artistic practice navigates the tension between raw labor and the vulnerability of form. Through the manipulation of metal, wood, and ceramic, I create silhouettes that investigate the persistence of the human body in states of collective trauma and strength.

A veteran of the Air Force, my work is deeply informed by an understanding of structured environments and industrial resilience. Each sculpture serves as a material dialogue between historical archetypes and the visceral nature of modern, high-contrast industrial processes.
